The 14th Says Farewell and Thank You to Nico
The 14th Scout Group said farewell to our GSL, Nico Chart, at the Annual Highfield Pinewood Derby on Sunday Oct 16th. He’s moving on to become the Southampton City District Training Manager. After 16 years at the Highfield Scout Group, as Chairman, Scout Leader and Group Scout Leader, he leaves behind the legacy of a Scout Group that reflects his personality – warm, welcoming, friendly and fun! We wish him every success in his new role but hope that he will keep strong links with the 14th.
As well as engraved whisky glasses (and whisky!) we presented him with a mounted display of individual thank you cards that had been made by our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders.
All this on top of another exciting, colourful, closely contested Pinewood Derby, the tenth that Nico has organised, with 32 Fantastic Cars competing for honours.
The 14th looks forward to welcoming Tony Bradley, its new Group Manager, in early November.
