Patrol Leaders hold camp for 7th Scouts!
Two Patrol Leaders from 7th Southampton, recently help an overnight camp for them and 2 other scouts from the troop.
“We had a great time. We planned our camp, and had a meeting with our Scout Leader to discuss how to run it. I bought the shopping and did the risk assessment. On the Friday, we set up the camp; sleeping tent and dining shelter. We had a 20 hour camp fire and cooked burgers over the fire for dinner. It was a fantastic opportunity and so much fun. I would recommend it, because you get to decide what you do and you learn what it is like for the Leaders to run a camp.” Noah, SPL
Well done to both of the PLs. They both put a lot of effort into the planning, and it paid off, with the camp being a huge success!
