11th Fundraising
One early Sunday morning in October, the Leaders, Exec and young people all got up early and made their way to the Sainsbury’s car park with their wheels. Each Scout had one hour to clock up as many circuits they could round the car park on their bikes and scooters. The enthusiasm and camaraderie of the young people made the early rise worth it. This was a great event and highly recommended for everyone to try. The organisation wasn't difficult, only finding the venue was a challenge, thanks to Sainsbury’s for coming through for us. It was fantastic to hold an event that was actually good for the young people!
In November, we held our annual Quiz Night. A fantastic time was had by all and Andrew and Louise's team were the winners! Between these two events we raised over £500.
We wish everyone in the District a Happy Christmas, and best wishes for 2012.
