If you have a child who you would like to get involved in Scouting, are aged between 6 to 25 and would like to join yourself, or are an adult who would like to take part in Scouting, Southampton has a wealth of groups ready to offer opportunities for everyone!
Join the Adventure
Here are just a few reasons why you want to get involved with Scouting:
- A wide range of activities – from archery to kayaking to climbing to technology – try things you’d never normally get the chance to try!
- Make new friends and be part of the Scouting community
- Get outdoors and active, enjoy the world around you
- Learn new things, pick up new skills and gain experience through a challenging yet exciting programme
Scouting is open to all young people and is split into sections, from Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10), Scouts (10-14), Explorers (14-18) up to Network (18-25). However, after that, the adventure doesn’t stop – as an adult in Scouting, you can be part of the adventure and have opportunities to learn, to try new things, gain new experiences and to make this all possible for the young people.
If you would like to sign your child up to Scouting, remember that Scouting is run entirely by volunteers, and it is these volunteers that make all this possible. Whatever your skills, whatever your time commitments, please help support Scouting in Southampton and help the young people of Southampton live the adventure of Scouting.
