We offer a good level of field and target archery using the District owned equipment. All the equipment is mobile so therefore we are able to shoot at all suitably sized HQ's throughout the District.

As it sounds we stand the young people on a shooting line with a target placed at varying distances from 10 - 40 meters.
Field Archery

Field archery is slightly different in that you will have obstacles between you and the target. Field archery is similar to a round of golf as you walk round the range in small groups shooting at the targets at various sizes and various distances one or two at a time.
Competitions
We hold a District competition annually and also take both adult leaders and young people to the county eliminators and onto the Hampshire Scout County competition where we have had much success in recent years.

We encourage all keen archers to join the HSAC where they are able to pursue archery to competition standard.
Both Ant Wilkinson and Shaun Cassidy (who are the archery advisors for the District) are members and compete in many competitions throughout the year.
