Posted on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017

Last weekend Southampton City Network along with members from Southampton and Solent SSAGO’s had a festive weekend at our district campsite. Activities included a fire (of course), a Christmas Dinner with all the works and other games. They even found time to help keep the site looking great. Thanks to all who took some time out to work onsite, fixing the gate post to the enclosure and clearing up the site.

DC’s Diary

Well done to Eve, Elaine and the Beaver team for the Christingle service at St James’ Church.

All the Beavers really enjoyed the songs and their Christingle messages.

Thanks to all those who passed on gifts to John Stevens from Hampshire Hospital Scouting as well.
Very well received.

Photos: Snowy Summit Expedition ⛄️

A couple of weeks ago a team of 6 Explorers and Network Scouts ventured up to Snowdonia for the weekend to climb some snow-capped peaks. The scenery was breath-taking, made all the better with our accommodation. A cosy cottage in the middle of nowhere without electricity. Luckily there was a log fire to keep us warm after a chilly hike in the mountains.

It was an unforgettable weekend. Thank you so much to Ian Rutherford for organising the trip. Thanks also go to Cantell School for their generous rental of their mini-bus.
